How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Dream11 Interview?

Candidates report roughly one to three weeks between Dream11 rounds, and about two to five weeks end to end. One candidate reports about ten days between the coding round and the database round, then about three weeks before the onsite in Mumbai. Another reports the full process in about two weeks.

Candidates for junior roles report one to two days between rounds in some loops. After the final round, one candidate reports a call from the recruiter within three to four days. The slowest part is usually scheduling the Mumbai onsite, because three of the five rounds are held there.

Does Dream11 Send Rejection Emails?

Candidates report that the recruiter is the main channel for news, in both directions. Reports describe recruiters giving high level feedback after a round, including a short reason when the answer is no. That is better than many companies, where silence is the only reply. Detailed feedback is not reported, so do not expect a written breakdown of your performance.

Silence still happens, and it happens most often before the first round rather than after the onsite. If a recruiter has interviewed you in person, you can reasonably expect a reply. If your application has had no response at all, treat that as a no and continue your search.

How to Follow Up

Write to the recruiter, not to the interviewer. Send the first message one week after the stated decision date, or two weeks after the round if no date was given. Keep it short and factual.

"Hello [name], thank you again for arranging my [round name] interview for the [role] position on [date]. I am writing to ask whether there is an update on the decision, and what the next step would be. I remain very interested in the team, particularly the work on [specific system]. Please let me know if you need anything further from me."

Send one follow up, then wait another week before a second and final message. More messages than that do not help.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Dream11 does not publish a reapplication rule, and candidates do not report one. For product companies of this size, a wait of six to twelve months before reapplying for the same level is typical, but that is a general pattern and not a confirmed Dream11 policy.

Two facts make a second attempt realistic. Rounds are reported as elimination rounds, so a rejection often comes from one round rather than from the whole loop. Candidates also report rejection at the hiring manager round after clearing every technical round, which is a repairable gap.

Use the time to fix the specific round that ended your loop. Applying again in a month with the same preparation produces the same result.

What to Wear

The first two rounds are held online, so treat them as video interviews. Wear a plain shirt, sit where the light comes from in front of you, and test the camera and microphone before the call begins. Keep a notebook and a pen within reach, because the coding round includes explaining your logic aloud.

The later rounds are held at the Mumbai office. Smart casual is correct there: a clean shirt and trousers, with no jacket required. Reports describe the design round as an interactive discussion at a whiteboard, so wear something you can stand and write in. Arrive early, because the security and reception process takes time.

How to Prepare
