How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Ramp Interview?

Ramp does not publish a hiring timeline, and candidate reports are scarce. Ramp runs every application through the Ashby job board. Your status updates arrive as email from that system.

So the waits below are typical for companies of this size, not confirmed by Ramp. Expect a few business days between rounds. Expect about one to two weeks after the final round.

End to end, plan for about three to five weeks from application to decision. Some candidates hear sooner when one team is filling one urgent role.

One more Ramp fact affects your wait. Ramp asks the person referring you to submit the referral. Its job postings say to contact that person to apply on your behalf.

A referred application is usually read sooner than a cold one.

Timeline by Stage

Ramp does not publish its round names, so the stage names below are generic.

StageTypical waitWhat is happening
Application to first replyOne to two weeksA recruiter reads applications in Ashby, and many get no reply
Recruiter call to next stepTwo to five business daysThe recruiter writes notes and checks with the hiring manager
Technical screen to resultAbout one weekAn engineer reads your code and the interviewer notes
Between later roundsTwo to five business daysFinding time in several interviewer calendars
Final round to decisionOne to two weeksNotes are compared and your level is agreed

One Ramp practice can add days. Ramp posts narrow engineering roles. Examples on its job board include Software Engineer for frontend, Mobile Engineer for iOS, Mobile Engineer for Android, and Security Engineer for cloud.

A narrow role has a small pool of qualified interviewers. Fewer available interviewers means more scheduling delay, not a weaker result.

Does Ramp Send Rejection Emails?

Ramp does not publish a rejection policy. Candidate reports on this are scarce too, so read this section as the general pattern.

Ashby can send a standard message when a Ramp recruiter closes an application. A short, general email is the common result. Silence also happens, and it is most common after a cold application with no interview.

Ramp does state one rule about its own email. Its job postings say Ramp contacts candidates only from ramp.com addresses. Any other sender that asks you for payment or private data is a scam.

Detailed feedback is rare. Companies of this size almost never give notes round by round. You can still ask your recruiter which round was weakest, then accept a short answer.

How to Follow Up

Send one short email to your recruiter. Wait five business days after a screen. Wait seven business days after the final round.

Hi [name], thank you for the time on [day]. I enjoyed the conversation about [specific topic from the round]. Could you tell me the status of my application and the next step? I am glad to wait if the team needs more time.

Send it once. If nothing comes back in another week, send one more short note. After that, treat the role as closed and keep applying elsewhere.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Ramp does not publish a reapply rule. Candidates do not report a fixed waiting period either.

About six months is the usual advice for a company of this size. Apply sooner only when a much better matched role opens.

Ramp states its hiring standard in public. The founders ask whether they would join your company if you started one. The careers page also says Ramp only hires builders.

So make the second attempt concrete. Build something you own and can demonstrate. Ask for a referral as well, because Ramp asks the referrer to submit it.

What to Wear

Early rounds are on video. Wear one plain shirt in a solid color. Avoid thin stripes, because cameras render them badly.

Test your camera, microphone, and light before the call.

Later rounds can be in person. Ramp's careers page names a New York City office and offers relocation support for people who move there.

For an onsite, wear clean, plain clothes. A collared shirt is enough. A suit is not expected at a company like this.
