How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Together AI Interview?
Reported Together AI processes run about two to four weeks. A small set of candidate reports puts the average near 16 days. That average comes from only a few submissions, so treat it as weak evidence.
One candidate describes a three week process. That set was a recruiter call, four technical interviews with different teams, and a final conversation with an infrastructure leader.
Candidates praise the scheduling most, and rounds are often booked quickly.
Candidate reports are more negative about the end of the process. More than one candidate reports no reply at all after the final onsite round. The section below covers what to do about that.
Timeline by Stage
The per stage waits below are typical for companies of this size, not confirmed.
| Stage | Typical wait | What is happening |
|---|---|---|
| Application to recruiter call | One to two weeks | A recruiter matches your background to a team |
| Recruiter call to coding round | Two to five days | Scheduling a 60 minute coding session |
| Coding round to the technical set | Three to seven days | The team decides whether to book the full set |
| Between technical rounds | One to five days | Rounds are often booked close together |
| Final conversation to decision | Three to ten business days | Interviewers compare notes across several teams |
The technical set is heavier than the word coding suggests. Guides describe coding rounds of about 60 minutes each, and a CUDA kernel question can appear inside one of them. There is also a design round about serving models.
CUDA is the programming interface for NVIDIA graphics processors. Serving means running a trained model so users can send it requests. The content of each round is in What is the Together AI interview process like?.
Does Together AI Send Rejection Emails?
Several candidates report no reply after the final rounds. One describes finishing the onsite in San Francisco and hearing nothing afterwards. Another, interviewing in Amsterdam, was promised an update within a week and did not receive it.
A second message to the recruiter was not answered. These are candidate reports, not a company policy, and other candidates do get an answer.
Plan for this instead of being surprised by it. Ask for a decision date at the end of the final round, and ask who to contact if that date passes.
Get the recruiter's email address, not only the scheduling tool. Written feedback on your performance is not reported by anyone, so do not expect it.
How to Follow Up
Wait one business day past the date you were given. If you were given no date, wait five business days after the final round. Then send one short message.
Hi [name], thank you for the final round on [day]. The discussion about [specific topic] was the part I enjoyed most. I am still very interested in the [role] role at Together AI. Could you tell me where my application stands and when a decision is expected?
If a week passes with no reply, send one more email. Copy the recruiting address on the job posting that time. After that, treat the role as closed and continue with your other applications.
Can You Reapply, and How Soon?
Together AI does not publish a reapply rule. Nothing in candidate reports describes a fixed block. Wait about six months, or apply sooner if a different team posts a role that fits you better.
Team fit matters here because separate teams run their own rounds. A new skill is the strongest reason to apply again.
Reading and writing GPU kernels is the clearest example, since that skill appears in many reports. A GPU kernel is a small program that runs on the graphics processor.
What to Wear
Most rounds are video calls, so dress for a normal work video call. A plain shirt and a quiet room are enough.
Onsite rounds happen at the San Francisco office, and one candidate report mentions an Amsterdam site. The dress there is casual, as at most engineering companies of this type. Jeans and a plain shirt are fine, and no one expects a suit.
Set up your editor and screen sharing before the coding rounds start, because you can lose several minutes to setup problems.
How to Prepare
- Know every round before you book. What is the Together AI interview process like? lists the rounds, so you can spread them over sensible days.
- Start the inference design round early. What to expect in the Together AI system design interview covers batching, scheduling, and GPU serving topics.
- Prepare stories about measured work. Top Together AI behavioral interview questions shows the themes the team conversations test.
- Drill the coding patterns. Grokking the Coding Interview covers the medium difficulty problems reported in the coding rounds.
- Practice serving systems out loud. Grokking the System Design Interview teaches the queues, caches, and scaling basics the design round uses.
