How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Zscaler Interview?

Public reports on Zscaler wait times are scarce. Candidates rarely post a day count for each stage. So the waits below are the typical pattern for companies of this size, not confirmed by Zscaler.

Candidates do report the order of the stages. An online coding assessment comes first, then several technical interviews, often three of them.

A hiring manager round comes near the end. Last is a conversation with HR about company values.

That last step matters for timing. You can still be waiting after the technical rounds are finished. Count the values call as a real stage when you plan your dates.

Timeline by Stage

StageTypical waitWhat is happening
Application to recruiter replyOne to three weeksA recruiter checks your background against a security role
Recruiter screen to online assessmentA few daysYou get a link and choose your own slot
Assessment to first technical roundAbout one weekAn engineer reviews the code you submitted
Between the three technical roundsThree to seven daysInterviewers in different regions have to be booked
Hiring manager round to HR values callAbout one weekThe manager collects notes and decides
HR values call to offerA few days to one weekLevel, location, and pay are settled

Zscaler lists offices across the Americas, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region, including several in India. Many roles also list a remote option. Where your interviewers work changes how quickly rounds get booked.

Ask the recruiter one question at the start. Ask how many technical rounds your role has. Candidates report three as the common number, but it is not fixed.

Does Zscaler Send Rejection Emails?

The Zscaler careers site sends candidates to a Candidate Resource Hub, not to a rejection policy. That hub covers how Zscaler hires, its Ways of Working principles, and its guidelines for using AI in your application.

None of those pages names a rejection practice. Some candidates get a short email. Others report no reply after a technical round.

So plan for no detailed feedback. Ask your recruiter once, in a friendly way, and accept a short answer.

How to Follow Up

Send one short email to your recruiter. Wait five business days after a technical round. Wait seven business days after the hiring manager round.

Hi [name], thank you for the time on [day]. I enjoyed the questions about incident response and the discussion of my project. Could you tell me where my application stands and what the next step is? I am happy to wait if the team needs more time.

Send it once. If nothing comes back in another week, send one more note. After that, treat the role as closed.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Zscaler does not publish a reapply rule. Candidates do not report a fixed waiting period either. Six months is the usual advice for a company of this size.

One thing helps a second attempt. Zscaler is a cloud security company, and its interviews test real interest in that work.

Its platform checks traffic between users and applications instead of guarding one office network. Learn how that works, then reapply with a security project you can discuss.

What to Wear

Most rounds are on video. You take the assessment alone, and the interviews are usually remote calls.

Wear a plain shirt in one solid color. Avoid thin stripes and shiny fabric, because cameras render them badly. Test your camera, microphone, and lighting first.

Some candidates are invited to an office. Wear business casual, add clean shoes, and arrive about fifteen minutes early. A suit is not expected.
