How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After an Expedia Interview?

Expedia Group does not publish a decision timeline, and public reports of exact wait times are scarce. The company says only that timing varies, and that your recruiter will share the specific details. Its careers site repeats the point after the interview. All positions and teams are unique, so the timeline may vary. The recruiter, it says, will keep you up to date on decisions and next steps. So the honest answer is that your recruiter holds the real dates. Typical for companies of this size, not confirmed: a few days to two weeks between stages, and about two to six weeks in total.

One thing is confirmed and useful. Expedia Group assigns you a recruiter who owns your schedule and your updates. Ask that person for the timeline before the first round, not after the last one.

Timeline by Stage

StageTypical waitWhat is happening
After you applyOne to three weeksResume review against the role requirements
After the recruiter callAbout one weekYour recruiter arranges the next conversation
After a skills assessmentAbout one weekReviewers score the technical task, business case, or work sample
Between interview roundsA few days to two weeksMatching schedules across several interviewers
After the final roundAbout one to two weeksInterviewers compare notes, then the recruiter calls

These stage numbers are the general pattern, not an Expedia statement. Two published facts explain the shape of them.

Expedia Group says it will work with you to find times that suit your schedule, across several people. That flexibility helps you, but it adds days to the schedule.

The company also says that certain roles include a skills assessment, a business case, or a work sample. That step adds review time.

Does Expedia Send Rejection Emails?

Expedia Group does not publish a rejection practice, so treat this section as the general pattern. A short standard email after an interview stage is normal at a company of this size. An application that never reaches a recruiter may receive nothing.

You can still check your status yourself.

Expedia Group gives candidates an account on its careers site, linked as "Already applied? View your account". Your status is visible there.

Written feedback on a round is uncommon at this size. Your recruiter is still the right person to ask, because Expedia Group says the recruiter gives you the timeline for decisions and next steps. Ask once, politely, and accept a short answer.

How to Follow Up

Send the note about five business days after a round. Write to your recruiter. Ask for a date rather than for a verdict.

Hi [Name], thank you for the [round name] on [date]. I enjoyed the conversation about [one specific topic]. I am still very interested in the role, and I know the timeline varies by team. Could you tell me what the next step is, and roughly when you expect a decision?

One note is enough. If another week passes in silence, send a second and final note.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Expedia Group publishes a clear rule here, and it is a limit rather than a wait. Its careers FAQ says you can apply for up to five opportunities in forty five days. The company explains the limit as a way to keep you focused on your core strengths.

So there is no published cooling off period after a rejection. There is a limit on how many roles you may apply to at once. Choose the roles that match your experience most closely.

A second attempt is stronger when something has changed. New skills, a shipped project, or a better matched job family all help.

What to Wear

Most early rounds are video calls, and later rounds may be in an office. Expedia Group answers the clothing question directly in its interview guide.

It says that if you are curious about dress code, anything goes. The company leans casual. It adds that you should dress in whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable.

For a video round, choose one solid color and a plain background. Join the call a few minutes early and check your sound.

For an office visit, smart casual is right. Full time employees are in the office at least three days each week, with Tuesday and Wednesday preferred, so dress the way the team does.
