Two published details explain the middle of this wait. Intuit lists Interview Set-Up as 15 minutes, and says engineers usually spend about 90 minutes on it. They download coding tools and solve a technical question to present later.

The Craft Demonstration needs the most preparation. It runs about 60 minutes with four members of the hiring team. Candidates report receiving a code repository 24 to 48 hours before it starts.

Does Intuit Send Rejection Emails?

Intuit's stated practice is feedback within one day. In practice candidates report a mix. Some get a quick call, others report writing twice with no reply.

Candidates also report a team matching step after the interviews. Team matching means the recruiter looks for a team with an open seat for you. Candidates report little news during this step, so ask your recruiter whether you are in it.

Detailed written feedback is still rare. Ask your recruiter for one line on what to improve.

How to Follow Up

Intuit's own guidance gives you the timing. Write after one week of silence. Write to your recruiter first.

Hi [name], thank you for the time on [day]. I enjoyed the craft demonstration and the questions about testing. Could you tell me where my application stands and what the next step is? I am happy to wait if the team needs more time.

If the recruiter does not answer, the careers site points you to the talent acquisition team. Use that route once, not repeatedly.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Intuit does not publish a waiting period after a rejection. Candidates do not report a fixed rule either. Six months is the usual advice for a company of this size, and that number is not confirmed.

Match your next application to the stage where you were rejected. The Craft Demonstration rewards practice in an unfamiliar codebase.

Take one open source project. Spend a day reading it, then add a small feature with tests in 90 minutes. Two runs of that drill change the round completely.

What to Wear

Most of these rounds are reported as video calls. Intuit's careers page calls the round the onsite craft demo, but candidates report it running remotely for most roles.

Wear a plain shirt in one solid color. Avoid thin stripes on camera. Test your screen sharing too, because you will share code in the demonstration.

Ask your recruiter whether your craft demo is in an office. If it is, business casual is the safe choice, and you should arrive about fifteen minutes early.
