How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After an Uber Interview?

Does Uber Send Rejection Emails?

Candidates report an automated rejection email in most cases. It names no reasons and comes from the hiring system, not from a person.

Candidates also report silence after an application that never reached an interview. That is common at this volume of applications.

Written feedback is rare. Uber does not publish a feedback policy for candidates. Several candidates report asking for reasons and getting none.

Ask your recruiter instead, during the process. At the end of each round, ask what the next step is and what date to expect news. Write that date down.

How to Follow Up

Wait five business days after your final rounds. Then write to your recruiter in four sentences or fewer.

Hi [Name], thank you for the final rounds on [date]. I enjoyed the discussion about [one specific topic from a round]. I am still very interested in the role. Could you tell me where the decision stands and when I should expect an update?

Send one note per week after that. Two notes in the same week is too many.

Ask about team matching in the same note. Some candidates report a short call from the recruiter before any written offer. That call can arrive within a week of the loop.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Uber does not publish a waiting period. Candidates report that the rejection email itself encourages applying again after about six months. Candidates also report waiting six to twelve months before trying again at the same level.

A faster route is a clearly different role. Candidates report fewer problems reapplying for a different team or a different skill area.

Bring new evidence to the second application. A rejection after the coding screen means you need stronger timed coding practice, not a new resume format.

What to Wear
