Splunk has implemented workforce reductions in 2023:

February 2023: Approximately 4% of employees, around 325 individuals, were laid off to optimize costs amid uncertain economic conditions.

November 2023: An additional 7% reduction, impacting over 500 employees, was announced. CEO Gary Steele stated this move was part of ongoing strategic initiatives and not directly related to the pending acquisition by Cisco Systems.
These measures reflect Splunk's efforts to align its operations with current market dynamics and organizational goals.
