What Is the HighRadius Interview Process Like? (Round by Round)
Candidates report three to five steps at HighRadius. The first step is an online test that combines aptitude questions with coding. One or two technical interviews follow, based on your resume, Java, SQL, and data structures. Some reports add a managerial round, and a short HR round ends the process.
Reported end to end time ranges from about one week to more than one month. Freshers hired through campus drives report a different second step, described later on this page.
Quick Overview
| Stage | Format | What is evaluated |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Online test | Timed test, remote or in a campus lab | Aptitude, verbal ability, reasoning, coding |
| 2. Technical interview | Live interview | Resume, projects, Java, SQL, data structures |
| 3. Second technical or managerial round | Live interview | Depth, design judgment, ownership |
| 4. HR round | Short live conversation | Motivation, location preference, availability |
Interview lengths are not consistently reported, so the table names formats rather than durations.
Stage 1: The Online Test
Reports about this test differ by role and by drive. One candidate describes a test of about ninety minutes with numerical ability, verbal ability, and reasoning questions. Another describes a three hour test, split into a thirty minute aptitude section and a two and a half hour coding section with four problems. That report also states there was no restriction on the programming language.
Candidates do not consistently name the assessment platform, so confirm it in your invitation email. If a timed remote test is new to you, read what an online technical assessment is before the day.
Stage 2: The Technical Interview
This interview starts with your resume and your projects. Reported Java questions include the Object class and its methods, the difference between Statement, PreparedStatement, and CallableStatement, and how garbage collection works. Garbage collection is the automatic release of memory a program no longer uses.
Candidates also report SQL queries, object oriented programming questions, and questions about the software development life cycle. Experienced candidates report data structure problems, including a string compression problem that turns aabcccccaaa into a2b1c5a3. Reported system topics include database indexing, when to use caching and how to invalidate it, and how to issue a JSON Web Token in a Java application. A JSON Web Token is a signed string that proves which user a request belongs to.
Stage 3: The Second Technical Round or the Managerial Round
Some candidates report a single technical interview followed by a managerial conversation. One report for a Java developer role describes five steps: an analytical test, a coding test, a personal round, a technical round, and a manager round. Treat the exact count as variable by role and level.
This round is about how you work rather than what you know. Expect questions about ownership, deadlines, and disagreement with a senior colleague. The company's published leadership principles include "Numbers Don't Lie", so answer directly and support each claim with evidence. Where design questions appear, they follow the company's own finance products, which the HighRadius system design interview explains.
Stage 4: The HR Round
Candidates describe this round as short and straightforward. Reported questions cover family background, preferred work location, and why you want this job. Prepare the motivation question in advance with how to answer why HighRadius.
How the Campus Path Differs
HighRadius runs internship cum pre-placement offer drives at Indian colleges. Candidates in that path report a submission round after the online test. It asks for a video about yourself of at least two to three minutes, plus a written solution to a case study question.
The in person interview then covers the resume, the projects, academic grades, and interest in the consulting side of the work. One candidate reports an unpaid two week period, then a paid nine month internship, with conversion decided on performance. Campus formats change between drives, so treat your drive notification as the authority.
Timeline and Decision
Aggregated candidate reports place the whole process at roughly two to three weeks. A small sample of reports gives about one week from the first test to the decision. Other candidates report more than a month of silence after clearing the technical rounds.
Campus candidates report results within about two days after each of the first two rounds. The full breakdown is in how long it takes to hear back.
Questions to Ask Them
Every round ends with time for your questions, and specific questions prove you researched the product. Useful ones here: which product area the team owns, how much of the work is customer facing, and how model driven features are tested before a customer sees them. Ask which office the role is based in, because HighRadius hires across several Indian locations.
How to Prepare
- Drill timed coding. Grokking the Coding Interview teaches the patterns behind the array and string problems reported in the test.
- Refresh Java and SQL. Rehearse garbage collection, the JDBC statement types, and index behavior until you can explain each in plain sentences.
- Prepare two project stories. Interviewers work from your resume, so know the decisions, the numbers, and the failures in each project.
- Practice the behavioral answers. Grokking Modern Behavioral Interview covers the ownership and disagreement questions in the managerial round.
