1. What Makes These Different

The exercises in the rest of this course each sat inside a chapter and tested one subject. The three that follow do not.

Each is deliberately under-specified, end to end, and has no single correct answer. That is not a convenience of writing. It is the actual shape of the work, and it is the shape of the interview that decides a senior offer.

The difference from a chapter exercise is worth stating precisely, because it changes how you should work them.
