The interview is not a design exercise. It is a design exercise with a hard time limit, and the time limit is what most candidates lose to.

The characteristic failure is not ignorance. It is spending twenty-five minutes on a beautiful high-level design and reaching the interesting part with eight minutes left, at which point the depth that would have earned the senior signal becomes a rushed summary.

That is a budgeting failure, and budgets are something this course has spent eleven modules on.
