Using Django Debugging Tools

Which SQL queries did that page run, how long did they take, and what was in the request when it failed? Debugging a Django project is mostly a matter of answering questions like these with evidence instead of guesses. Django has built-in tools for each of them, and the Django Debug Toolbar adds a panel view of the same information in the browser.

The examples use the blog app and its Article model, with a published() QuerySet method and an author foreign key to the user model.
