Capstone: Design an AI Support Assistant

Project brief: a support assistant for an online store. All numbers are illustrative.

An online store sells home goods. Its help chat needs an assistant for two kinds of questions.

  • Policy questions, such as "How long do I have to return a lamp?", answered from the store's 400 help articles.
  • Order questions, such as "Where is my order 4471?", answered from the signed-in customer's own orders.

The assistant may not issue refunds or change orders. It passes those requests, and any question it cannot answer, to a human support agent (a handoff).
