“Design a mobile booking flow for limited inventory: select an item, obtain a temporary hold, pay, and confirm the booking.”

Use one selected seat, appointment, or room for this example. A countdown does not reserve inventory, and a successful payment callback does not prove that a booking exists. Explain how the app learns and recovers the actual result.
