The New Requirements Follow Up

A new requirement can change a design that was reasonable a few minutes earlier. Your task is to explain what changes, what remains valid, and what the user can now expect.

You do not need to preserve every component. A larger change is appropriate when the new requirement changes a basic assumption.

Start With the New Promise

Before adding a component, clarify the requested behavior. “Support offline use” could mean reading saved posts, editing a draft, or submitting an order without a connection. These are different requirements.
