Introduction to Redux Toolkit (RTK)

Redux keeps an app's shared state in one object outside the components, and it allows that object to change in only one way. A component sends a description of what happened, and a function decides the next state. You already know this idea from useReducer. Redux applies it to the whole app, and it lets each component subscribe to only the part of the state it needs.

Redux Toolkit, often shortened to RTK, is the official package for writing Redux code. The Redux team recommends it for all new code, so this chapter teaches Redux through it.
