What's the difference of coordinator node in Cassandra VS dynamo? What's the tradeoff? Thanks!

In Cassandra, a client may connect to any node in the cluster to initiate a read or write query. This node is known as the coordinator node. But in Dynamo, a coordinator node is the first node that falls clockwise in the consistent hash ring.
My understanding is Dynamo allows zero hop where a client can directly talk with a node that's responsible for the key. But curious if there are any other differences and tradeoffs.
