Know the Vocabulary

This lesson uses the terms below many times. Read them once now, and come back here when a later section needs one.

• Agent: A system in which a model chooses some of its next steps while the task runs. Each step can use a tool.
• The loop: The cycle an agent repeats. The model proposes a step, the runtime acts on it, and the result comes back.
• Runtime: The ordinary code around the model. It checks each proposed step, runs the allowed ones, and enforces every limit.
