Know the Vocabulary

This lesson uses the terms below many times. Read them once now, and come back here when a later section needs one.

• Agent: A system in which a model chooses some of its next steps while it runs. It calls tools in a loop, within limits that the application enforces.
• Tool: A function the model may ask to call, such as a web search or an order lookup. Ordinary code runs it, not the model.
• Context: All the text the model reads in one call. It holds the instructions, the task, and the history so far.
• Trajectory: The full path one task takes
