How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Groq Interview?

Groq does not publish a hiring timeline, and public reports are scarce. Its careers section lists no rounds and no waits. It asks you to send your resume through a form, and it says the company will reach out when there is a fit.

Read that wording carefully. Groq offers contact when a role matches, not a reply to every resume. So an open application can go unanswered for a long time.

Candidates report a few weeks for the full loop once it starts. The length varies with the role and with scheduling.

Timeline by Stage

The table mixes reported waits with the typical pattern for companies of this size, not confirmed by Groq.

StageTypical waitWhat is happening
Resume form to first contactOne week to several weeks, or neverThe form is an open application, not a role application
Recruiter conversation to next stepUnder one weekAbout 30 minutes on background, motivation, and team routing
Personality interview to technical roundsAbout one weekNotes are shared, then engineers are booked
Technical rounds to team conversationsOne to two weeksOne to three sessions have to be scheduled and written up
Final conversations to decisionOne to two weeksThe team and leadership compare notes, then an offer is prepared

Two details are specific to Groq. Candidates report a personality interview of about an hour. It is a separate round, not a few questions at the end.

Candidates also report technical rounds led by staff engineers, with questions about real work rather than puzzles. Staff engineers have fewer free hours, so those rounds are the hardest ones to book.

A third detail affects timing. Groq builds its own inference chip, called the LPU, and runs a cloud service on top of it. Hardware, compiler, and cloud teams hire on their own schedules, so two candidates can wait very different amounts of time.

Does Groq Send Rejection Emails?

Groq does not publish its rejection practice. So this section gives the common pattern, not a stated policy.

The published wording sets the expectation for open applications. Groq says it will reach out when there is a fit. No reply is a likely outcome there.

Once a recruiter has spoken with you, a short reply usually arrives either way. It gives no detail about your rounds.

Written feedback is rare at companies of this size. Ask your recruiter for a one line reason instead. Some will give it.

How to Follow Up

Send one short email to your recruiter. Wait five business days after a conversation, and about ten business days after the final round.

Hi [name], thank you for the time on Tuesday. I enjoyed the questions about inference performance and my last project. Could you tell me where my application stands and what the next step is? I am glad to wait if the team needs more time.

Send it once. If nothing comes back in another week, send one more. After that, treat the role as closed and keep applying elsewhere.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Groq does not publish a reapply rule. Candidates do not report a fixed waiting period either.

The resume form works as a standing open application. You can send an updated resume through it when your work changes.

Six months to one year is the usual advice after a failed loop at a company of this size. Apply sooner when a different team posts a closer role.

One point is specific to Groq. It runs data centers in several regions, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Roles open in different places at different times.

What to Wear

The early rounds are on video. The recruiter conversation and the personality interview are usually remote.

Wear a plain shirt in one solid color. Avoid thin stripes and shiny fabric, because cameras render them badly. Test your camera, microphone, and screen sharing before the call.

Chip work is not fully remote, so ask the recruiter whether your loop has an in person day.

Business casual is the right level. A clean shirt and dark trousers work well, and arriving ten minutes early helps.
