How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Meesho Interview?
Most reported waits at Meesho run from a few days to about two weeks per stage. One candidate reports about one week between the application and the online assessment invitation, then about three days between the assessment and the first interview. On-campus loops are much faster, with gaps of a few hours between some of the rounds.
End to end, off-campus reports describe about two to four weeks. Several candidates also report long silence after the final round, including one candidate who received a rejection about three weeks later.
Timeline by Stage
| Stage | Typical wait | What is happening |
|---|---|---|
| After applying | Days to about one week, when reported | Resume screening and drive scheduling |
| After the online assessment | About three days to one week | Scoring and shortlisting |
| Between technical rounds | Hours on campus, days off campus | Interviewer feedback and scheduling |
| After the machine coding round | Days, and hours in on-campus loops | Code review and panel discussion |
| After the final round | Hours on campus, about one to three weeks off campus | Panel alignment and offer approval |
The table shows what candidates report, not a published policy. Meesho does not publish response times, so treat every figure here as a range rather than as a promise.
Does Meesho Send Rejection Emails?
Candidates report both outcomes. Some receive a clear rejection email, and one on-campus report describes it arriving within hours of the last round. Others report no message at all after the final round.
One candidate reports a rejection email about three weeks after the interview, and no explanation was given with it. Some candidates also report that recruiter replies stop after a round is cleared. Detailed feedback is rare, which is typical for companies of this size, though Meesho does not confirm it.
Do not treat silence as a decision, and keep interviewing elsewhere until you have a written answer.
How to Follow Up
Write to your recruiter rather than to the interviewer. Send the first message about five working days after the round, and a second message about a week later. Keep it short and specific.
"Hello [name], thank you for arranging the [round name] on [date]. I am writing to ask about the current status of my application for the [role] position. I remain very interested in the team, and I am happy to share anything else that would help. Could you let me know the expected timeline for the next step?"
Two follow-ups are enough. After that, assume the process has stopped and use your time on other applications.
Can You Reapply, and How Soon?
Meesho does not publish a reapplication policy. The common practice at product companies of this size is a wait of six to twelve months after a rejection, though that figure is typical rather than confirmed.
Two things help a second attempt. First, apply to a different team or a different level, because rejection feedback is usually specific to one loop. Second, show new evidence, such as a larger system you now own or a stronger record on algorithm problems. If a referral is available, use it, because referred applications are screened faster at most companies.
The Notice Period Question
Indian recruiters ask about your notice period early, often in the first call. Give the real number of days in your contract, and say whether your current employer allows a buyout, which means paying to leave sooner.
Recruiters use this answer to plan the start date, so answer honestly to avoid problems later. Nothing in candidate reports suggests that Meesho requires an unusually short notice period.
What to Wear
Most Meesho interviews are conducted on video, including the technical rounds and the machine coding round. Wear a plain shirt in a solid color, and avoid strong patterns, because they compress poorly on video.
Sit with the light in front of you rather than behind you. Test your camera, your microphone, and your internet connection an hour before the interview.
On-campus interviews and the reported in-person rounds are different. Formal clothing is the campus placement standard in India, so follow the rule that your placement cell gives you. For an office interview outside campus, smart casual clothing is safe.
What to Do While You Wait
Use the waiting time to prepare. Keep practicing algorithm problems, because a second loop may start with the same assessment. Write down the questions you were asked while you still remember them. If the machine coding round was difficult, build the same program again without a timer and study what you missed.
How to Prepare
- Know the whole loop. What the Meesho interview process is like lists every reported round and its format.
- Prepare the design rounds early. What to expect in the Meesho system design interview covers both the machine coding round and the high level design round.
- Write the motivation answer once. How to answer why Meesho gives a structure that you can reuse in every round.
- Keep practicing algorithms. Grokking the Coding Interview teaches the patterns that the assessment tests.
- Rehearse the closing round. Grokking Modern Behavioral Interview prepares you for the HR and hiring manager conversation.
