How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After an Abridge Interview?

Public reports on Abridge timing are scarce, so read the numbers below as a small sample. Abridge itself publishes no wait time and no reply promise. Candidates report a first reply within five to seven business days of applying.

Glassdoor shows an average of about 31 days from first contact to decision, from a small set of reported interviews. Candidates also report about a month for the full loop. A few report no reply at all after a later round.

So expect roughly one week per stage, and about a month overall.

Timeline by Stage

StageTypical waitWhat is happening
Application reviewFive to seven business daysA recruiter screens the resume for the team
Recruiter screenAbout one weekBackground, interest in health care, and logistics
Hiring manager conversationAbout one weekA project deep dive plus a short design discussion
Onsite panelAbout one weekThree rounds are compared before a decision
Leadership roundUnder one weekA senior leader confirms the decision
Offer stageA few daysLevel and pay are settled

Candidates report an onsite panel of three parts: a coding round, a system design round, and a cross functional round about product sense. One reported design question asked for a clinical tool execution service. The interviewer supplied partial code and asked the candidate to write the important parts.

One report also describes a late round with a senior engineering leader.

Does Abridge Send Rejection Emails?

Abridge publishes no rejection policy, and the reports are mixed. Many candidates describe a recruiting team that replies quickly. Others report no reply at all after a later round.

Glassdoor interview experience ratings sit near one third positive, from a small number of entries. The reported difficulty is close to the middle of the scale, near 2.8 out of 5.

One detail is worth knowing before you read any update. Abridge states in its job posts that email from its recruiting team always comes from an abridge.com address. Treat a message from any other address as a scam.

Written feedback is not promised anywhere public. A short verbal reason from the recruiter is the realistic best case. Ask for it on the call, not by email.

How to Follow Up

Wait seven business days, then write once. Reported replies mostly arrive inside a week, so a week is a fair point to ask. Send one email to the recruiter and keep it factual.

Hi [Name], thank you for the [round] on [date]. I am writing to ask about the status of my application for the [role] position. Could you share an update, or the date you expect one? I am still very interested in the work.

Send one more note a week later if needed. Two emails are enough.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Abridge does not publish a reapply rule. No waiting period is reported by candidates either.

A wait of six months to a year before reapplying to the same role is typical for companies of this size, not confirmed. A different team or a different job family is usually open sooner.

Its job board posts roles across engineering, machine learning, security, and data, so a second application often fits a different opening. Knowing how clinical documentation works helps in every round, because that is what the product writes.

What to Wear

Interviews here are video calls, so dress for a camera. Abridge names San Francisco, its headquarters, and New York as its two builder hubs, and it posts roles in Pittsburgh as well. Many engineering roles ask for three days a week in one of those offices, so an office visit is possible.

A plain shirt in a solid color is right for the call. Business casual is right for an office visit. Test your camera, light, and sound before you join.
