How to Answer: "Why Do You Want to Work at Sprinklr?"

The strongest answer names a specific Sprinklr product and connects it to your own work. Sprinklr sells a unified customer experience management platform, where unified means one system handles social publishing, customer service, marketing, and consumer research for the same brand.

Candidates report this question in the fitment round, and sometimes again in the bar raiser round. A convincing answer proves three things: you know what the platform actually does, you have owned work from start to finish, and you want problems at enterprise scale.

What the Interviewer Listens For

1. Real product knowledge. Name a product rather than the company: Sprinklr Service handles customer support across many channels, Sprinklr Insights collects and analyzes public conversations, and Sprinklr Social manages publishing and engagement for brand accounts. Saying which one interests you, and why, separates you from most candidates.

2. Customer obsession. Sprinklr publishes its values as The Sprinklr Way, and the first is customer obsession, stated as passion for customer success, so prepare one story where a customer or a user changed what you built.

3. Accountability. Another stated value is accountability, described as doing what you say and owning what you do, so interviewers listen for work you owned alone, including the parts that went wrong and what you did next.

4. Interest in scale. Sprinklr collects public conversations from many social and digital channels in near real time, for large brands, so if ingestion, queues, or analytics genuinely interest you, say so and give evidence from your own work.

A Three Part Structure

Part 1: The product connection (2 to 3 sentences). Say which Sprinklr product interests you and what problem inside it attracts you.

Part 2: Your proof (2 to 3 sentences). Describe one thing you built and owned, and include a number.

Part 3: The direction (1 to 2 sentences). Say what you want to build there next.

Sample Answer

"I want to work at Sprinklr because the hard problem is unification, not any single channel. At my current company I built the service that pulls customer messages from email, chat, and two social channels into one queue. It handles about 40,000 messages a day, and I own the retry logic and the rate limit handling for every source. That work taught me how different each provider's API is, and how much of the difficulty comes from those differences. Sprinklr solves the same problem across many more channels and for far larger brands. I also want direct contact with users, because my best decisions came from watching support agents use what I built. Sprinklr Service is where I would like to start."

This answer works because each claim comes with evidence: the product interest comes with a matching build, the ownership claim comes with a number, and the direction is specific enough to discuss.

Where the Question Appears

The fitment round is where candidates most often report it, while a shorter version can appear in the bar raiser round, usually as a follow-up to a project answer. Keep the same core answer both times, because interviewers compare notes across rounds, and add one new detail in the later round rather than more enthusiasm.

Common Mistakes

  • Praising the company in general terms. An answer about culture and growth fits any employer and proves nothing.
  • Describing Sprinklr as only a social media tool. Social publishing is one product among several, and this mistake shows that you did little research.
  • Complaining about your current employer. Candidates moving from an IT services company are asked directly why they want a product company. Answer with what you want to own, such as one product used by real customers over years, rather than with criticism of your current job.
  • Arriving with no question of your own. The fitment round is a conversation, and a prepared question about the team's product area shows genuine interest.
  • Claiming interest you cannot support. If you say you care about scale, be ready for follow-up questions on the largest system you worked on.
