How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After a Glean Interview?

Public reports on Glean wait times are scarce. Glean does not publish a hiring process page, and it states no wait time anywhere. Candidates report about two to four weeks from the first call to a decision.

Reported waits between rounds are short. Most candidates report a few days between stages. Several report a result within days of the onsite.

Read every number below as a candidate report, not a promise. Ask your recruiter for the date of the next step, because Glean publishes none.

Timeline by Stage

The table mixes candidate reports with the typical pattern for companies of this size, not confirmed by Glean.

Candidates report six kinds of rounds. A recruiter screen of about thirty minutes comes first. Then one or two technical phone screens with live coding.

The onsite adds harder coding rounds, a design round of about sixty minutes, and a behavioral round of forty five minutes. It also adds a practical exercise where you build a small working program.

The practical exercise is the slowest part to schedule. It needs a longer block than a normal coding round.

Some candidates also report a round about working with AI coding assistants. Glean builds an enterprise search and assistant product, so that round matches the daily work.

Does Glean Send Rejection Emails?

Candidates usually report a short rejection email after an interview. Silence is common at the application step only.

Some candidates report a few lines of real feedback. That is unusual, and Glean publishes no policy about it. Ask your recruiter once, politely, and accept whatever answer arrives.

The wording is usually general. Expect one sentence about continuing with other candidates, with no detail about your rounds.

How to Follow Up

Write to your recruiter, not to the interviewers. Wait five business days after a screen, and seven after the onsite.

Hi [name], thank you for the time on Thursday. I enjoyed the build exercise and the search design questions. Could you tell me the status of my application and the next step? I am glad to wait if the team needs more time.

One message is enough. If a week passes with no reply, send one more. After that, put your effort into other applications.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

Glean does not publish a reapply rule. No public report names a waiting period either.

About six months is the usual advice for a company of this size, not confirmed by Glean. Apply sooner when a role opens that fits you better.

Practise the build exercise before a second attempt. It is the round candidates describe as the hardest to repeat. A referral also helps, because a referred application is read sooner.

What to Wear

Most rounds are on video. The early screens are on video for nearly everyone.

Wear one solid color and a plain collar. Thin stripes and shiny fabric look bad on camera. Check your camera, microphone, and light before the call.

Glean is based in Palo Alto. Most teams are in the office four days a week and work from home for one day. Ask your recruiter early whether your final round is on video or in the office.

For an office visit, dress the same way. Add clean shoes and arrive about ten minutes early. No suit is needed.
