How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After an ElevenLabs Interview?

Most ElevenLabs candidates report hearing back within about one week of each stage. Detailed public reports are scarce, so read any single number carefully.

Glassdoor reports an average process of about 26 days at ElevenLabs. That average comes from 117 reported interviews across all roles.

Software engineering candidates usually report two to five weeks from first call to decision. A few report up to about two months.

One part of the wait is your own choice. The coding screen is asynchronous, which means you take it on your own schedule.

Timeline by Stage

The table mixes reported waits with the typical pattern for companies of this size, not confirmed by ElevenLabs.

StageTypical waitWhat is happening
Application to recruiter replyOne to two weeksResume review, and many people get no reply
Recruiter screen to coding screenA few daysYou get a CoderPad link and book your own slot
Coding screen to resultAbout three to five daysAn engineer reads the code you submitted
Between virtual onsite roundsTwo to five daysScheduling across a distributed team
Final round to decisionAbout one weekInterviewer notes are collected and compared

Before the recruiter call, some candidates first talk to an ElevenLabs voice agent. The company says these agents are called Becky and Oscar.

They answer questions about the interview process, benefits, and the remote policy. ElevenLabs describes them as preparation for the first live recruiter call.

Does ElevenLabs Send Rejection Emails?

Most candidates do receive a rejection email. Silence also happens, and candidates complain about it often. Some describe recruiters who asked them to start quickly, then stopped replying to email.

Feedback is not given. Candidates report asking for it and being told none is available.

Some point out that an AI note taker joins the interviews, which makes the refusal harder for them to accept. Expect a short, general message with no detail about your rounds.

Rejections can also arrive late. One candidate reported a wait of more than a week because the recruiting contact was away.

How to Follow Up

Send one short email to your recruiter. Wait five business days after a screen, and seven after the final round.

Hi [name], thank you for the time last week. I enjoyed the product decomposition round and the questions about streaming audio. Could you tell me the status of my application and the next step? I am glad to wait if the team needs more time.

Send it once. If nothing comes back in another week, send one more. After that, treat the role as closed and keep applying elsewhere.

Can You Reapply, and How Soon?

ElevenLabs does not publish a reapply rule. Candidates do not report a fixed waiting period either.

For a company of this size, about six months is the usual advice. Apply again when a new role opens that fits you better.

Two things help a second attempt. Build something small with the ElevenLabs API and show it. Ask someone inside for a referral, because a referred application is read faster.

What to Wear

Interviews are on video for most candidates. ElevenLabs works remote first and hires in several countries.

Wear a plain shirt in one solid color. Avoid thin stripes and shiny fabric, because cameras render them badly. Test your camera, microphone, and lighting before the call.

If you are invited to an office, use the same advice. Add clean shoes and join about ten minutes early. Nobody there wears a suit.
